g’day!
It’s so nice to meet you.
I’m a Dietitian & Nutritionist with a love for long macchiatos and dark chocolate.
I live and breathe health & fitness, I’m a dog lover and I can be pretty handy in the kitchen.
My family values have shaped who I am today and I’m stoked to share my story with you.

I grew up on a farm in sunny queensland
With farming in the genes, I’ve always had a love for the land. While my first memories are of Mum and Dad’s rose farm, Grandma and Grandad also owned a farm 3 hours west of Brisbane and grew cotton, sorghum, wheat and barley. I have such fond memories of running through the sorghum fields and fighting my brother over who could race to the top gate the fastest!
I was a foodie from a young age
As a little girl, Mum could never get me out of the kitchen. I had a soft spot for sweets (one might say, a sweet tooth) and licking the bowl was always the best part.
My dream was to have my own cooking show
When I wasn’t in the kitchen, I was madly scribbling down recipes as I watched popular chefs whip up a storm on the TV. Afterwards, I would bound into the kitchen, excited to cook and add a healthy twist to the dish.
I was really into sport too
As a child I tried nearly every sport under the sun, but gymnastics stole my heart. From around the age of 9 I was a competitive gymnast, training up to 16 hours a week.
Our coaches were tough, and we worked really hard. I don’t think I will ever be as strong as I was back then.
I tackled so many fears in gymnastics, and it taught me to back myself, even when I was afraid. Back then I thought it only applied to my training, but little did I know it was setting me up for life.
Although I loved tumbling on the floor, my biggest thrill was cartwheeling and backflipping off a beam that was 10cm wide and 1.5 metres off the ground!
I was the dux of home economics
That’s right, after a grueling battle with my fellow kitchen queen Anna, by the skin of my teeth I was awarded the Dux of Home Economics.
I am so grateful to my Home Economics teachers, Mr and Mrs Barlow, for all they did to inspire me.
So with a love of food and fitness…
It was natural for me to fall into the wellness world. And here I am today!
I truly believe that if we embrace food with gratitude, enjoy our meals mindfully and maintain an active lifestyle, we will be a lot healthier and happier.
My qualifications
BHlthSc Nutr&Diet AdvAPD GAICD
I’m proud to call myself an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian (AdvAPD) and Accredited Nutritionist (AN), after many long years at university.
For 20 years I’ve worked with organisations to inspire health and happiness, from charities to global corporations.
I’m also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
I work in the media
For over a decade I’ve worked in the media to bust nutrition myths and comment on topical nutrition matters, from the latest fad diet, to research breakthroughs and the big issues affecting the health of Australians.
I’m the former vice president of dietitians australia
In 2018 I was truly honoured when I heard the news that my dietitian colleagues had voted me in to join the Board of Dietitians Australia.
But it was in the boardroom that I was most humbled, being elected as Vice President. For me this was the most rewarding role, giving back to over 8,000 dietitians across the country and making decisions that shaped the future of our profession.
I work with businesses to drive growth through health
Together, we can make a difference.
